The following software is made available by Megos as freeware: The items can be copied and distributed freely as long as their content remains unchanged. It is prohibited to disassemble the programs or distribute the items for commercial use.

Netviewer Teilnehmer 3.2.1.905 (500 KB)

This program is run on the client machine. It acts as the counterpart of the Netviewer Berater which runs at the Megos. The combination allows the displaying and/or remote controlling of the client machine by the Megos supporter. The allowed actions can be determined by the client in advance.

.NET Framework 2.0 English (23 MB)

This is the runtime system for all programs that build up on the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. This is true for Megos programs and for all others too. The download is only necessary for systems with a slow internet connection. On fast systems the download starts automatically when a .NET framework application is started for the first time. Then the framework gets installed in the background without any interaction.

UAlarms 3.2

This tool waits in the background for a number of special dates and times (eg. coffee break, lunch break, bus, train) and sounds an alarm.

UComp 4.0

This is a tool to compare binary files. It finds even the slightest difference. File date and time are compared too, subdirectories can be included and a text file with the differing filenames can be produced. Useful even for checking burnt CDs.

UDelDir 1.3

This Tool deletes a directory including all subdirectories. Primarily the tool was created for Windows 95/98/ME where no such command is available. On Windows NT/2000/XP it is similar to "DEL /S" but has more display choices and query possibilities. In addition it has also the ability to delete read only items ("+R" attribute).

UErrText 1.2

Displays the error message to most of the Windows API error codes.

Alternatively you can lookup the code in the text file List of Windows Error Codes (doserrors_e.txt). This text file contains a short explanation to all (ok, most) of the error codes that windows issues when something goes wrong.

ULocate 4.1

Locates a file using the same search strategy as Windows and displays the full pathname. Additionally locates and displays all files that can be found using a SET variable containing a directory list.

UWinTree 1.2

This tool shows technical details about the currently open windows including the invisible ones. There are three different listings available. A list can be limited to special names by pattern.
